Just got sponsored for interim secret clearance but got reckless driving a couple days before I filled out the SF-86
Really just want anyone with experience with any type of security clearance to let me know if getting a reckless driving a couple days before finishing the SF-86 will ruin my chances of receiving a interim clearance for the job and did I just waste my time by still doing the SF-86? I did report it on the form and let them know. Also mentioned the mitigation that I plan on doing for the upcoming court date. Which is the driving class. Getting a lawyer. And doing as much community service as I can.
I did get a lawyer. I already did the driving course.
Did I help my chances at all with that?
I was also going 101/60 which I know is outrageous.
But no accident or drugs or alcohol was involved. And it was my first offense. That’s also my only red flag.
My anxiety is winning waiting for the answer to come back.
Do I have a chance to still get the interim clearance?
