Okay so, I’m a backup manager of drug GM, Theres three people in our department. The manager of drug GM, me (backup) and another girl (we’ll call her Ashley). So, Ashley has been working in the department for 4 years but has limited availability. Mine is open. I work every weekend because everyone else in the department refuses to. I have not been trained as the backup because the manager is hardly ever working the same shift as me but I am still coded backup in the system. Anyways, this week our lead is going on vacation and Ashley is getting her pay. Not me. What do I need to do? Obviously they knew Ashley knew more about the department when I got hired for the position but I’m hearing that they are paying her for it because she will be doing some of our managers duties while she’s gone. It’s not my fault I haven’t been trained and I’ve been in this position since April of 2026. The manager has gone on several vacations. At least 3 last year and then this one and I have yet to get paid for them and that is one thing I was told before I took the position. I am in Arkansas btw. I don’t really want to go to the union because I don’t want it to make my work environment more uncomfortable than it already is but Im definitely feeling like I’m getting beat.
