We filled out the questions and it gave us document number IMM5710. But it is worded weird, so I would just love some clarification.
"Application to Change Conditions, Extend My Stay, or Remain in Canada as a Worker"
Is this the correct form?
I just feel like it will over-ride the PR Application and of course we dont want that.
There is also these fees:
Work Permit: $155
Open Work Permit Holder Fee: $100

I (the sponsor) received an email today, stating:
"This letter confirms that your application to sponsor member(s) of the family class, was received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 2026/03/12 on behalf of the following member(s): ________________"
Is that the official AOR?
It tells me in the email that I can check the status of my application, but when I try to log in, it doesn't allow me to. Do I just need to give them more time to officially create the account, from their end? I received this email 2 hours ago.
At the end of the email, it also says this.
"Please Note: Your sponsorship application is in queue for processing. Please be advised that IRCC will contact you once your application has been reviewed."
My partner is from California and we are currently in BC.
Are we allowed to drive to Cali to visit his family for a week while the application is being processed?
Also, he can apply for an Open Work Permit now, correct?
