I was asked how to describe the series to my spouse and could only think of “Beautifully Devastating”. LB hit me hard. I’m curious on how others would describe it?

For context, my wife and I grew up in lower class families. After college we were saddled with so much debt that we struggled to get by or get ahead. Now at 40, I have well paying job and I recently got a large bonus for the first time in my life. That was 3 weeks ago and I have been mildly sad and disconnected at work ever since. I'm usually our companies' most productive employee but I literally stared at my computer screen for most of the day yesterday for the first time in my life.

I know I should be grateful but my response to this has been baffling to me and not what I expected at all when I dreamed of this.

Can anyone relate at all?
