Doggie Door Training

It’s been 20 years since we’ve had a puppy and we’re getting a 10 week old one next weekend! Our last 5 schnauzers were adults and easily taught where our doggie door is and how to use it. I don’t remember how our puppy learned. I don’t know if he’ll be big enough to push his way through it yet…that’s the first obstacle, but how should we go about this? Hubby on one side and me on the other holding the flap up? Treats?

Any word on turnout for today’s primary?

At my election site (SW Ada County), I asked and was told that it’s been steady all day and twice each of the voting “booths” were full. I hope this is happening with all voting sites!

Hug your babies!

I got my first schnauzer on father’s day 2006, and the last of my five schnauzers left us today. I’m taking a break from this subreddit to protect my heart. Please hug your babies and kiss them on their noggins for me. I’ll be back to enjoy your pictures and stories in a few months…💔
