58f with 22q - Curious as to everyone's age here with 22q.

Hi all, 58f with 22q. Diagnosed in 2014. Live alone. First child passed away from complications of 22q in 1990. She lived 5 mos in the NICU. Two adult children today who have not been tested (their choice) who appear to not have 22q.

I finally graduated last year with a bachelor's degree in philosophy from UNCG. This was an adult lifelong goal of mine.

I mainly have gi issues from 22q. I also have a right aortic arch with aberrant left sublcavian artery with complete vascular ring.

I recently had emergency surgery due to a burst lung bullae (pneumothorax). Had a pleurodesis. 12 days home post op.

My mom tested negative. My dad has not tested, but I believe members of his family had 22q and it is indeed passed down.

I have no mental health issues.

Feel free to ask any questions! As an older adult with 22q happy to help.
