For context, my party (especially the bard) is trying hard to get a somewhat redemption of Strahd, rolling as much as a 30 on a persuasion check to convince him to consider dying as a way to end his curse. (Plus, using the Tome of Strahd extra module of flashbacks and such they've managed to make it so Strahd didn't actually choose to make the pact, but was more so forced by Vampyr)

Because they've had such good rolls and roleplay I wanted to let them have their ending of sorts. i plan for Strahd to actually concede: he agrees to give the party a chance, he's willing to believe they could break the curse and will hold his attempts to get Ireena back until the party is dead.

During their dinner (which is their second one so far) he will explain to them that in order to be killed, Strahd needs the party to be strong enough to end the curse and as such will being to "play serious".

He will tell the party that from that day foward they are enimies with the same goal, and that nonetheless he is irredemeble, bad and doesn't mind playing dirty (as to say the party needs to overcome that) and that's the cue for his ambush.

Im thinking he has a couple of vampires ready, two mages and a knight, along with Rahadin and maybe one of the consorts.

My party has two warriors, one rogue, one bard, one cleric and one sorcerer. I don't remember from the top of my head and I wanted basically ideas on who to focus, which spells to use and how to approach this ambush as to really show them how overwhelming Strahd can be.
