EXTENSIVE Cheating and How Our Admin Does Nothing….
Nothing fancy here but I’m sick and tired of all this AI USAGE during these finals and midterms. Homework is fine and whatnot but I’m sick to death with people using Ai on the tests & not studying all semester but still getting these undeserved A/A-. It’s not fair to the people who genuinely study and work hard in the course because then the grading distribution gets distorted and the profs don’t boost as hard.
And some of these proctors and profs walking around during the tests don’t even care. I have seen proctors walk around and catch multiple students cheating but choose to look the other way or just tell them to put their phones away, like what are you here for? And this one dumbass kid in my class accidentally activated Gemini voice during MGT 3120 final test yesterday really loud and our professor literally looked the other way. I know half our class cheated and it just isn’t fair. I get some teachers are trying hard to make it fair and they can’t individually do much about it since they only have one set of eyes but it gets to a point where there isn’t any motivation to study or do good when you know you’re going to get grade mogged by a loser with chat gbt and claude premium. These 0.5 quick picture warrior freaks are out of control.
Baruch admin doesn’t do anything about it either, the academic affairs department doesn’t do anything about this cheating pandemic that’s holding Baruch fricken captive. It seems like no one cares. They need to start putting cameras in the classrooms or something to record when students are taking tests I have some friends at Cornell and NYU and I asked them if their class has this same problem where people keep cheating,and they genuinely say no one in their classes really cheat. This makes me wonder if this cheating crisis applies to Baruch and if our students are just dumb and lazy.
At the end of the day, yes it’s just a college degree but some of y’all make this degree feel not earned. Chat does the work for you, but how much are you really learning? Then yall complain about not getting jobs and not graduating with offers. Sorry if this post comes across a little mean but it’s just frustrating to see people cheating all the time and there not being any merit to GPA anymore.
