I feel like everywhere I look, I see posts about how stressful Field day is. I’m a 1st year PE teacher grades 4-6. I feel like I’m getting stressed just by seeing other PE teachers being stressed about field day.

Is it really that bad? I have all my stations planned, rotations figured out, inflatable booked, and volunteers good to go (just have it assign them to stations). The only thing I’m going to be stressed about is setting up.

Again, I only feel extra stressed because I see other PE teachers stressed. Maybe that sounds a bit silly, but it is what it is. Everything is planned for the kids to have a good time, so it’s their job to just be kids and go have fun!
