The 2-4-7 Mana Curve… with Master Roshi in the Command Zone (100€ Budget)
Lately I’ve been really interested in the whole “2-4-7 mana curve” concept that a lot of people have been doing with [[Radha, Heir to Keld]] / [[Ruby, Daring Tracker]] in the command zone…
…but I REALLY wanted to make it work with this Master Roshi-looking old dude instead 😄
The idea is pretty simple:
play your mana dork commander [[Bugenhagen, Wise Elder]] on turn 2, a 4-mana ramp spell like [[Explosive Vegetation]] on turn 3, and then suddenly have 7 mana available by turn 4 so you can start dropping massive threats while your opponents are still just setting up their boards.
And the coolest part is that the deck is actually built to make this happen really consistently.
I ended up building Bugenhagen on a ~100€ budget, but I also included a pretty extensive upgrade section in the Moxfield primer for people that really want to push the deck to its limits.
