Day 2 Post LAMS 365mc, significant bruising and swelling!
Hi! its my first post here, not sure if in doing this right but figured I would post my experience since I couldn't find many genuine reviews from 365mc for arm LAMS.
Right now im day 2 post op and I feel like my arms are balloons, extremely tender and swollen down to my forearms, surprisingly the tumescent fluid didn't leak out of my puncture points at night as they said it would - so it seems like that is why my arms are quite swollen
Here is a general overview of my experience including the pain! Which was the scariest part pre-op for me! And some tips for tolerating the surgery too!
Pre-op + Consultation:
- They will measure ur body fat first and then take a blood test
- They have lovely English translators who will accompany u the whole time, even in the surgery room and when going to the pharmacy afterwards
- They are very respectful, u get nipple covers and a cover up gown etc.
- My doctor could speak good english, and he made everything very clear
Surgery room:
- they take you into the room, and the doctor will tell you to remove your gown and he will draw on your body and plan out the procedure
- They let you choose the music you like, but for some reason the nurse later changed it back but you can probably ask them to change it again if that happens. You can also talk to the doctor during the whole procedure.
- Body Disinfectant
- The nurse will inject ur butt with 2 injections, one was antibiotic and the other was (I think) to protect from allergy or something- this was a bit painful she didnt do it very well, usually the will slap your butt before injecting which helps but she just injected it immediately, and quite high up. But that aside this process was ok.
- Then you lie down on your stomach
Operation:
- First 4 numbing injections, this is a little painful but tolerable, very fast.
- Then they will move on to the fat "melting" part which is the solution to make the fat suctionable. This was the bad part for arms, it lasts only about 10 mins on each side, mostly just feels uncomfortable and strange it only hurts for 30 seconds while he does the shoulder area, so just have to focus on the music and squeeze the massage roller they put in your hand and then its over! For this part pain is a 8/10 on my threshold
- The fat removal process was not painful necessarily, just extremely uncomfortable, and sometimes you feel a twang of sharp pain for a split second but overall I would say its a 4/10, not bad at all! Again its the brief suctioning of the shoulder area which is adding points for pain.
- I added a back fat removal as well, and ill be honest this part was the mist painful part but it's very quick about 10-15 mins for each side, having that in my mind got me through it. And it was only bad for about 4 mins on each side while he does the lower and deeper back.
My height and weight before was 51kg 164cm so my bmi was around 19, so i was already quite slim and if you have a higher bmi or fat to muscle ratio you wont feel much pain at all according to the doctor.
Some tips - the doctor said I did really well so maybe try these yourself too:
- Breathe in through your nose out through your mouth, and try to relax your neck, shoulders, jaw face etc. Think about relaxing each of these parts while they do the surgery it will help to distract your mind and reduce pain as its better when your muscles are relaxed too. For me I was doing yoga breathing and thinking about relaxing my feet then butt, thighs, back, arms all the way up to my eyebrows and top of my head - this was really helpful.
- use the massage rollers! Dont rub your fingers on the massage roller, I was rubbing the bumps on it it to distract myself which helped a lot too but this caused blisters and hurt so bad afterwards 😅 So just squeeze it with the opposite arm as hard as you want!
- Wiggle your toes/feet at the same time this also helps with distraction and leg circulation
- and the most important tip of all... remind yourself why you're doing it! Its only 1.5 hrs of your life, it will be over soon and you will look GORGEOUS!!
Overall, I feel so proud of myself now! Its the same feeling you get after running a big marathon. Im excited to see my results in 3 weeks 😊
