Does anyone else work at a store where the store manager constantly yells at and threatens to fire most of the white employees? He yells so loudly that people on the other side of the store can hear him. Ironically, the store manager is white himself, yet he never treats the East Indian staff this way. He allows them to work and do whatever with few consequences, and if you make a complaint about an East Indian coworker, you’re the one who gets in trouble. He also lets them go on very long leave of absence with zero notice. But never ever a white person even if it is for the same reason as an East Indian.
I enjoy working with my East Indian colleagues and some are actually my favourites but the hiring bias is becoming impossible to ignore. It feels like he is trying to push white employees out. Furthermore, he pressures people to 'put in their two weeks or be fired.' Every management position over the last 30 openings has gone to East Indian candidates, many of whom have little to no experience or knowledge of the role.
