I worked as a Spirit flight attendant for three years and never encountered the chaotic incidents often seen online. I quickly learned to lead and set the tone for both passengers and crew. I remained optimistic until my final flight two days ago NK2524 from MCO to PIT. Although I knew my career was ending upon landing, I struggled to contain my mounting emotions. During the flight, I made a few jokes over the PA system, choosing not to address the situation directly. During service, a gentleman—who I believe was a Gold member—asked to purchase 12 sodas to distribute randomly to other passengers. It was a very kind gesture, but when he gave the other flight attendant and me $20 each, I was deeply moved. With only an hour left until landing, I wanted to make a speech, but I chose to thank everyone individually as I always do. I am filled with grief and sorrow. I strove to be the best flight attendant possible, even when my attention to detail—such as clearing trash from tray tables and neatly folding seat belts for the next flight—was met with indifference by some colleagues. I took great pride in these small tasks and in maintaining a sharp, professional appearance in my uniform. I truly enjoyed caring for our "Big Front Seat" passengers, ensuring they were aware of their complimentary food and beverage access. I miss the role dearly and am grateful to everyone who flew with us, especially the employees of other airlines. I treated them with special care. Although my wings are currently broken, I will recover and continue to inspire my colleagues and myself. Thank you for flying Spirit Airlines; we enjoyed having you on board. 💛🖤💛
