Chronic throat pain, what helps?

I‘ve had throat pain for over 2 years now, for the last couple of months it has been up and down. Sometimes it‘s really intense and then the next day completely gone till the evening. I know some people experience it as a symptom of PEM or a possible EBV reactivation. I also have MCAS so maybe that could play a role? I just want to get rid of that pain. Does someone have any experience with it and could share some of it with me.

Trying Ivabradine for the first time, did it help you?

I‘m going on it tomorrow and I‘ve read a few posts on here that say that Ivabradine has hepled them a lot or at least improved the symptoms somewhat. I‘ve also read about people saying it has worsened their fatigue. My main goal is to lower my fatigue so should I give it a try anyways?

My family is driving me crazy

Today two family members showed up completely unnanounced and I didn’t clean the appartment for days because I was in PEM. One of them was my mother and she started cleaning the appartment for me. I felt extremely ashamed. She said she didn’t want to say that they are comming because she knew I wasn‘t doing well and didn’t want to stress me with cleaning etc. When I left the room I overheard my aunt say, „she reminds me of *other family members name*“. That family member of mine has multiple mental illnesses and he had a very hard life so he had to be taken care of which I have a lot of empathy and understanding for but it’s simply not the same. People in my family treat me like I‘m crazy and don‘t respect my boundaries while I‘m trying to do everything. I hate it. What can I do?

This would heal me

If I had a significant time, where I wouldn’t have to cook, do chores, worry about money, my health or family, maybe just spend a few weeks in a house at the beach with a chef, cleaners, people that drive me everywhere I had to go, I would probably improve. People always say health is the most important thing in life and I agree, but I think next to it is absolutely financial freedom because look what it could do for me (probably for many of us). I promise that if I will ever get rich in life, I will build a free place like that for all of us.
