I filed for a PTSD increase and bipolar secondary claim. I previously filed for my back in December and was already granted service connection for lumbosacral strain with IVDS and bilateral radiculopathy.
Now my current claim suddenly moved back to Step 2 and the VA added:
- TDIU
- “Lumbar spine condition (chronic back pain with radiculopathy) (New)”
I’m confused because my back condition was already granted, so I don’t understand why it’s now showing up again as a “new” condition attached to my PTSD/bipolar claim.
Has anybody had the VA reopen/re-add an already service-connected condition during a mental health increase or TDIU review?
