What is Improv?
- Improv (an abbreviation of Improvisation) means making stuff up, live on stage!
- The core principle is "Yes, and..." where we accept whatever is suggested to us and build upon it in a playful and constructive manner.
- Improv encompasses storytelling, acting, play, spontaneity, and creativity.
- Improv is usually performed by teams, with players jumping in and out of roles as required.
- Improv is fun and is often very funny (though it doesn't have to be!)
- No script means no lines to learn!
Why do Improv?
- Meet a friendly, diverse group of like-minded individuals.
- Boost your confidence and creativity.
- Improve your communication skills.
- Have fun playing in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment.
