Found a crazy all-glass villa with an underground pool in Bengaluru (Rampura) for a weekend digital detox.

I needed a massive digital detox this weekend and wanted to get out of the usual concrete boxes around the city. I ended up staying at this biophilic/nature-integrated glass house in Rampura (Bengaluru East) and the architecture blew my mind.

I’ve attached a picture of the entrance area.

Here is what made it actually work as a detox in a noisy city:

  1. The Underground Pool: They built a private, cavern-style underground pool and jacuzzi. You step down into it, and it completely deadens all the city traffic and noise. It is pure silence.
  2. 360-Degree Nature: Because the walls are entirely glass, you get the feeling of sleeping in a forest and dining under the moonlight, but you are sitting in air-conditioned comfort without the bugs.
  3. Off-Grid Vibe: The property has an open fire bowl setup and working windmills on the lawn, which really forces you to put the phone down and just exist in the space.

It got me thinking about how rare this kind of architecture is here. Has anyone else stayed in any underground or heavy-glass architectural homes around Bangaluru?

Trying to find more hidden gems like this to add to my list.
