Mom Traveling with 10-year old twins - visit Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon?

Hi there,

I have been building out an itinerary for Iceland for my two 10-year old kids and me. My question is whether it would be too much to try and do a day trip from Vik to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon for a Zodiac boat tour on Day 7? I know it's a 2hr+ drive there and then 2hr+ back. I remember visiting Iceland back in 2012 and Skaftafell National Park was the highlight. The drive there was stunning and will never forget the landscape.

Day 1 - Arrive in Reykjavik
Day 2 - Reykjavik (whales and puffins weather permitting / public pool)
Day 3 - Reykjavik (whales and puffins weather permitting / public pool)
Day 4 - Travel day - drive to Vik with a few stops along Golden Circle
Day 5 - Based in Vik (horseback riding?)
Day 6 - Travel to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon for a Zodiac boat tour and then back to Vik for overnight
Day 7 - Leave Vik and drive to Aurora Igloo for overnight
Day 8 - Viist Blue Lagoon and stay in hotel in Keflavik
Day 9 - Departure morning

If folks see any major flaws in my itinerary, please share! Or suggestions for things to see or do along our route, would be appreciated.

Thank you!
