Lived here 14 years and I'm moving away this spring. The excitement of living somewhere new and finding my favorite spots has long disappeared, and I've definitely settled into a comfortable pattern.
Before I leave, I want to revisit some old favorites, and try the cool stuff that's come about more recently (but is outside of my well-worn path between Pizza Mondo and Podski).
What are the things you would want to do before moving? The hikes, restaurants, extracurriculars, whatever, that make Central Oregon so great, but maybe aren't on the cover of Visit Bend.
For me, so far, it's:
- Path through the lava flow south of DRW
- Camping out at Badlands
- Pork belly sandwich from Spork
- Boyd Cave (if they decide to re-open China Hat)
