Built a new house last year, its about 2200 square feet (main floor) bungalo with a walk out basement, ICF construction.

I only have a single zoned system, central air ducted heat pump with propoane furnance backup. Now I wish I had two separate zones. The upstairs is much warmer, because of heat rising and also we have more windows upstairs. The house can actually get too warm, even when its below 0 (C) On a sunny winter day the wife is opening the upstairs windows when its -10 outside.

The basement is consistently about 2 degrees C cooler. I have tried adjusting the dampers so less heat goes upstairs. But the best I have been able to achieve is a difference of 2 degrees C. I work downstairs. I have a small electric space heater for my office which works well but I want a more permanent solution for that room and the other bedroom, maybe out in the wide open rec room as well.

I only need the smallest heater, 500w should suffice, as I am only looking to bring the temp up that 2 or 3 degrees in the bedrooms when necessary.

Looking for suggestions on other nice looking small, that dont look like the typical electric baseboard. Something like the Envi wall heater. Hoping I can wire these into an existing outlet instead of running new wires back to the panel.

Edit - Sorry if this is the wrong sub for this question, maybe I should be asking electricians instead. Im open to suggestions on anything that can be done to fix the air balance. I run the heat pump on 'circulate air, always on, medium speed' in the winter. Its a Daikin Fit 4 ton.
