ENG 351 reading list question- Joyce Carol Oates

I took Joyce Carol Oates’ ENG 351 at Princeton about 20 years ago and I’ve been trying to reconstruct the reading list.

The ones I clearly remember:

A Clockwork Orange

The Beach

The Handmaid’s Tale

Everything Is Illuminated

Money (Martin Amis)

I’m curious what else we read that semester my memory is fuzzy and the current syllabi look completely different. If anyone from that class (or around that time) remembers the full list, I’d love to fill in the gaps.

Dre> Blue: Midlife crisis

Hello!

This is one of my favorite albums and I wanted to get it on vinyl (because I am an idiot, thanks for asking) for awhile now.

You know how it goes... I had to get the original pressing, and it wasn't cheap. But I did it!

So, then I got it in my head that I wanted to try Johnnie Walker Blue (see note above) (I thought about Blantons, a few 15 yr scotches etc and a few other possibilities but those were harder to get.) So I got the Blue.

So I was sitting here thinking that I had spent entirely too much on a record I don't need and overpriced blended whiskey.

And then I realized I might be having a midlife crisis. So that's what this post is about.

The record is better than the whiskey, but a single ice cube livened it up. I have a nice feeling though.
