Opinion on NLC

For some context and where im coming from: im an incoming sophomore who qualified in Supply Chain Management (SCM). So this is my first NLC, and honestly didnt really know what i should expect.

Conference itself: I didn't really have anything bad to say about it. My event was on time, and my judge was nice. I really enjoyed the expo hall and all that it had to offer. The general sessions were mad boring (half the time I was playing Block Blast on my phone as thats all I could really do because my data was shit) Shuttles were decent and rarely had an issue with them

I didn't go to any of the social stuff, so I can't tell you anything about it

Overall, it wasn't bad

Pin trading: This seems kinda cool, but it seemed kinda ridiculous that pins that cost less than a dollar to make are going for over 100 bucks. Most i would pay would be 5-10 bucks

But that's just me.

Host city: San Antonio was...it was a city. Riverwalk was definitely a tourist trap (that I fell into lol). The water was hella dirty, which is probably to be expected with any city but still. I actually had a lot of fun at Six Flags (even tho they sprinted at me to try and sell some stuff lol) The Alamo was kinda boring, but cool, I guess. I really liked the Tower of the Americas. The view at the top was incredible. Alot of homeless where I was at (I was at the Element Riverwalk, which is a little ways from the tourist part). It was kinda hot and humid, but I've been in hotter. Overall, it could have been better, but regardless, it was still good

Final overview: I had fun, the conference was good, pin trading was alright, and the city was decent. I met a lot of people, including some of you, made new memories, and overall had a good time. See you all next year

Anyone got TN pins?

My advisor won't stop begging us to her find the last two pieces of the whole thing. She has the middle part. She just needs the other pieces. Looking to buy. DM me
