Renting on DSP

Is it true that real estate agencies won't approve your application if the rent is over 30% of your income?

I am on DSP and with maximum rent assistance weekly income would be $700.

I can afford to pay $350-400 rent weekly (and this is what units and even boarding houses and caravan park cabins are going for), but don't want to waste time applying if there is zero chance of getting approved due to that being 50%+ of my income.

Does anybody here rent through a real estate agency for more than 30% of their income?
