I'm looking for a wheelchair that's lightweight I can't lift a lot and I have wide hips so I need a 20 seat chair. I kinda got a lot of questions.
This is my first time buying one. Due to my doctor's request she wants to me not pass out and use a wheelchair for just travels like to go outside due to my heart rate spiking to 160+ or to 200 and my Doctor is worried I'll pass out due to the POTS. have EDS, POTS, ME/CFS, PEM, Asthma, MCAS, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, and more.
I've been fighting with my doctor because I'm only 30 and it's hard to have to picture myself now needing a wheelchair this soon in life. I know I need it just hard to adjust to the new reality. 😕
This is what I'm looking at is a Feather Wheelchair 20 inch that can support put to 350 lbs and is about 20 lbs to carry it. I'm 255 so 300+ lbs is fine. I'm not sure what other info I might need to add more info if you all need it.
If I need to can you get a motorized add on to a basic wheelchair if need be? Due to the PEM and the ME/CFS I may or may not have the energy to push myself and in case a motorized dies.
I'm trying to find a happy medium I realize that might be unrealistic but kinda would like a basic wheelchair and then add onto it if need be.
