I have been on the lookout to either invest in a piece of land or buy a house for my retirement away from the city. I have been looking at some properties (land/plot and also villas) around and beyond Devanahalli/IVC road etc. Everything seems so expensive right now and I maybe wrong but will this part of Bangalore appreciate over the next few years? My questions are:

  1. Should I look at investing in a plot or should I stretch my budget and buy a house with amenities in a gated community.

  2. I am looking at a budget of 2.5 cr to 3 cr. But most projects are priced at 4 cr upwards. Does anyone have any reccos on something that will come within my budget?

  3. Also there are so many developers and they promise a whole lotta things and most completion dates are 2-3 years from now. How to get this vetted whether they will indeed finish the project.

  4. On the above note is it then better to stretch my budget and go with reputed players in the market like big brands like Prestige/Sobha etc?

  5. Are there any reccos for trustworthy developers that I can look at who wont dupe me.
