This was supposed to be a wedding gift, but the bride and groom celebrated their first anniversary last month. It's quite overdue, but I'm excited it's finally finished!

The quilt is a wall hanging intended to depict a scene of the beginning of their lives together. They live in Las Vegas and at the time of the wedding, one of them flew for Allegiant. I included the Mt Charleston mountainscape, the Bellagio hotel and fountain, the Strat, the Paris hotel, and an Allegiant Airbus A320. I built patterns in Paint.NET based off real images.

The details on the Bellagio hotel and the airplane were hand embroidered. I severely underestimated how boring it would be to embroider all those windows!

This was my first project using free motion quilting. I definitely could use more practice at it, but overall I'm pleased with the outcome and excited to finally hand this quilt over tomorrow!
