Hey guys, so I was out visiting family in hurricane and went to a garage sale and found a journal or a diary of sorts?
Apparently the owners of the place found it years ago.... Weird. I was flipping through it expecting some regular entries but no... I'll see what I can find....
August 18th 1974
Today has been a wonderful day! I took the family to see henry while construction on the diner wrapped up. We're on schedule for opening in the fall and thanks to mcm we already have the mascots in storage just waiting for the place to open! With Henry's designs, mr murray was easily able to get us spring lock suits, although I'd wish he'd stopped blabbering about safety concerns. My design is flawless, there is no worry! After sitting through a rather boring lunch with the kids, I stayed behind to check on the diner, everything was perfect... Flawless, just as intended. If I'm going to leave my boys something, then I'll leave them a legacy, something for them to remember and live by!
September 8th 1974
The opening was a smashing success! Me and henry even got to use the spring locks functions with no issues, I told me Murray everything was fine! Here he was, worrying and whining about the endoskeleton systems snapping back into place... He over thinks to much. We made over 1,000 dollars on the opening with pizza sales alone! If we can keep this success rolling, we can expand our influence, I'm thinking toys, games...! We can do it!
Despite our incredible first day, the boys didn't seem to comfortable. Evan said he liked the characters themselv s, the artwork Mr Murray's wife did were great at attracting an audience, but he said that the mascot suits were a bit creepy. I know the boy is only three but they look fine! Hell Michael seems to love them!
That's all I've deciphered so far... These pages are in bad shape .... I'll see what else I can find! Hopefully I can restore some these!
