Has my work contract been changed regarding holidays whilst on maternity

Hi,

I’m in the UK.

I have worked at a company since jan 2023 and have been on maternity leave since November 2025.
I’m due to go back in September and have enquired regarding holidays.

I’m was under the impression that I had 30 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays.

My contract states the following:

“You will be entitled to 6 weeks holiday per year, this excludes bank and public holidays recognised by the employer. This holiday entitlement is inclusive of your statutory entitlement which is 30 days”

Now here is the confusing part.

I contacted my manager and she has found my contract and the copy that that is exactly the same however the word excludes now says includes. This is apparently signed.

I’ve gone back through my emails and found an email trail from my job offer and it has my contract in it stating excludes.

I’m under the impression that she has just removed the page and re printed this and stuck it into a folder.

Note to add: My maternity cover has been given a permanent contract and has taken my desk. Should I be worried they’re trying to push me out?

EDIT TO ADD: We don’t have a HR department at work my line manager is HR, we’re a small company as opposed to a corporate company. I’m not sure what to do in this situation.
