Almost gave a bribe!!
So basically this happened in the metro at Millennium. I had my end-sem exams and was extremely tired, so I ended up falling asleep. Nobody woke me up, and the metro eventually went to the area where they reverse it.
The loco pilot came and called me out. I woke up, but I still wasn’t completely in my senses when he suddenly told me, “Idhar aana illegal hai, penalty lagegi. Utroge toh mere se le-deke khatam karo, 100–500 jo bhi hai.”
I didn’t have any cash, so I told him I could pay through UPI. He seemed hesitant, but he started giving me a number. In between, though, he got interrupted and then told me, “Rehne de, doors khulenge toh utar jana.”
So now I’m confused — if someone knows the rules, was this actually legit, or was he just trying to make some side cash?
