These little Beatles things are decimating my nasturtiums. I planted the nasturtiums as a sacrificial crop so I’m not too worried about them but they are with my tomatoes. Will these Beatles affect my tomatoes?

I have read a fair bit about blossom end rot here so I think this is what I have. I have 9 tomato plants and it is only the two big ones that seem to be suffering not the cherries. They had been fine up until last week now 3 or 4 look like this. My questions are …
1 do they need treatment or just remove affected tomatoes
2 does it spread

If I pin this now horizontal verbena to the ground would the 3 upright branches take root and make 3 new plants ?
