I'm a freelancer based in the UK who worked as a contracted virtual assistant for a company based in Spain. I'm not going to bore anyone with all the details, but they owe me just over £6600, roughly 7700 Euros. They keep coming up with new excuses as to why they can't pay me/won't pay me the amount involved. They don't care what I say or how much documentation I send, so I need to take legal action.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or has any tips for what I can do? The amount is too high for small claims court. I don't know anything about the laws in Spain regarding contractors and payment, or where to even begin. There's only so much ChatGPT can tell me, and I now need help from humans with real life experience and knowledge. 😅
