I started using the subagent-driven skill recently and noticed Cursor often spawns GPT-5.1/5.2 sub agents (or Composer 2 which is fine) for coding tasks.

What I don’t understand is why is it using these older models when GPT-5.3 Codex costs basically the same and GPT-5.4 is only slightly more expensive?

I literally have Composer 2 set as the default and only model to be used in sub agents in my cursor config yet it's forcefully using GPT-5.1/5.2

I have seen a few posts in this subreddit with people experiencing low TPS and horrible speeds and was wondering if this problem is global or if anyone found any solutions recently.

I have benchmarked it against my OpenCode Go subscription with the same models and its running at 1/3rd the speed and it's a bit worrying, it's almost unusable on the Kimi models and Deepseek V4, even running on V4 Flash.

I've tried switching harnesses yet to no avail, Kimi Code, OpenCode, etc. all the same issue.
