My teen (16F) and I (43F) will be in the UK in July for two weeks. Right now the only solid plans we have are Liverpool (I'm coming for a short conference) and an overnight in northern Wales. Our schedule is pretty flexible. What I do know is we won't be doing London. I've been to Bristol, Bath, Oxford, Cardiff, Newcastle, Edinburgh, and Stirling. I'm thinking we'll stay in the North West, Wales, maybe Belfast, and/or Yorkshire.

I saw narrowboats when I was in Oxford last year, and thought that staying overnight in one might be a unique experience. This is my daughter's first trip out of the US.

Any suggestions on booking?

We're flying in and out of Liverpool. We'll be relying trains and busses to get around.
