We're looking to let our agents have access to certain parts of our proprietary system where we have client products, client information and do things like order fulfillment.

My thinking was to create a webhook which updates markdown files to which the agent then has access. So anytime something is updated in our system the markdown file will be updated with the latest information.

One of our concerns here is token spend as the files get bigger.

So the other option is giving access through API's, this posts a lot more security concerns ofcourse. An additional concern is how to securely store API credentials?

I am just wondering if anyone else has experimented with this and how they made it work?
