Why isn’t artificer S tier?
I have 200+ hours on risk of rain 2 (the hours might be wrong because steam is funny sometimes). It is by far my favorite rouge-like. I have started playing eclipse a while ago, and seem to only use artificer. Besides being my favorite character, she has extremely powerful attacks.
I can consistently beat monsoon as artificer, but consistently struggle when playing other characters, because I believe their play style is harder to play than artificer (besides engineer, he is objectively an easy and good character). Artificer can do major AOE and damage with moves like Charged Nano-Bomb, can escape enemies with Ion surge, can pillar skip with NO ITEMS, isn’t affected by fall damage with ENV suit, and can even freeze and freeze-insta kill the final boss of the game with snap freeze, yet i see her on the bottom half of tier lists. I believe that she is good because she is a simple character (in my opinion). Why don’t people put her higher? What’s holding her from being one of the best characters in the game?
I also have beaten e5 with artificer, and am working on e6. If you could give tips on how to master artificer on eclipse on top of the previous discussion, that would be awesome. I might have a lot of hours, yet I’m still learning the game.
