How do I “break up” with my hair stylist?
I’ve been seeing the same hairstyle for around 4 years. Very loyal client, see her every 8-10 weeks. Ive never missed an appointment or been late. I’ve referred around 7 clients to her that are also regulars now.
This week, I had to cancel my appointment with her because of a work schedule conflict. I asked to reschedule and the SOONEST she can get me back in is August. It’s barely halfway through May. Totally understand cancelling was my fault, but I can’t help but feel that my loyalty as a client should give me some wiggle room in her schedule ONE time. My highlights take 2 hours maximum.
So all of that to say, I had to find someone else to do my hair in the mean time. And honestly, I’d rather just continue with her and not go back to the girl I’ve been seeing.
All of the girls in my family still get their hair down by the original girl. How do I “break up” with her? Do I tell her I’m not coming back or just cancel my August appointment and move on?
