hey all — curious how people approach this

I read a decent amount, but I’ve noticed I forget a lot of what I read pretty quickly… especially with nonfiction

I’ll highlight things here and there or screenshot quotes, but it ends up scattered everywhere and I never actually go back to it

lately I’ve been trying to be a bit more intentional about keeping track of what I read / what stood out, but I’m not sure what actually works long term

do you guys take notes while you read? or is it more of a “read it and move on” kind of thing

and if you do keep notes — where do you put everything so it doesn’t just disappear into the void lol
