I’m planning to apply for a UK Standard Visitor Visa for an ~18-day trip covering Scotland, Northern Ireland, and London. I'm an indian passport holder
A bit about my profile:
- No international travel history at all (this is my biggest concern)
- Working at a one of the biggest global management consulting firm
- Will provide leave letter, NOC, and employment proof
- Have sufficient funds (fixed deposits + liquid savings ~3x my planned trip cost)
- A friend in the UK will provide an invitation letter
The purpose is purely tourism + visiting a friend.
My question is: will having zero international travel history significantly hurt my chances of approval?
I’ve seen mixed opinions online—some say it’s fine if your financials and ties are strong, others say it’s a red flag.
Would really appreciate hearing from people who got a UK visa approved (or rejected) in a similar situation.
