I don't have any experience hatching eggs, and this is my first time using an incubator. I saved the egg from crows... I know that it has pipped on the wrong end. It looked like a bruise on the egg, so I gently tweezed a bit of the shell back where it was cracked kind of open to help it because it's been 2 days. A bit more has broken off today, and I hear the baby peeping and wiggling around. I am still very worried though, since it's pipped the wrong side and I don't have a clue what I am doing! I am keeping the heat and humidity up.
Does the egg seem okay? I don't think it's shrink wrapped? When should I help it more? Today is day 28 on the dot, how long should I wait to do more? I want to give the baby their best chance at survival!
If anyone could give me any advice, I would be very grateful.
Edit: Made the tiny dot hole a tiny bit bigger because I was worried it could be suffocating and it was giving me a lot of anxiety. The little one started breathing and put their beak up to the hole, it's head is 100% at that spot and not at the air sac. I wet the membrane, it seems really dry and was hard to move even if it doesn't "look shrink wrapped".. even though I have the humidity at around 74, and the heat at 99.5. I'm going to see if they are able to get more done on their own before opening it any further.
