When I was getting my Firefighter HazMat certification I learned about "Blue Canaries". First thing we are taught is to never touch anything or get close, until we know with absolute certainty what it is. Thats when a classmate asked, "If we have no way of knowing if its dangerous or not, what do we do?" The answer: "Wait for the blue Canary to show you. Just like a Canary in a coal mine. Just wait for the police. They have an innate desire to touch everything. Let them touch and see what happens. Hence, Blue Canary."

It was just a joke but pretty accurate description of the differences in 1st Responder mentalities. Thought this would fit here. Enjoy looking at all this weirdness in the world.
