I worked in corporate comms/PR for a large luxury brand for three years and would like to transition to non-profit work/community organizing.

Although my professional experience is in a typical corporate environment, I have a lot of experience volunteering with local mutual aid groups and my city’s rapid response (ICE Watch) network. I’m actually part of the comms committee for the rapid response group.

Would you include this in your resume or just note it in your cover letter when explaining why you want to make the transition?

Important to note - a few of the jobs are w an org that is very closely associated with ICE watch/mutual aid. The job postings actually say that experience in these environments is preferred.
