Can I take the exam after a gap year?
Greetings everyone,
Simply put, I am a July/2025 graduate in a country that doesn’t employ their newly graduate doctors unless a year has passed and this is due to economical & political reasons (you can’t get internships or anything). Unluckily for us, we might only be able to get jobs next January/2027. So I haven’t really been in touch with medicine for a long.
I’m wondering if this large gap between now and the time that I might take the exam will have an impact on the material I need to study. (I was one of the top students, so I can say I have a fairly good background)
Does anyone have recommendations to what I should be studying now? Textbooks or specific plan?
Also I can’t book the exam until we get our medical degree verification which might be anywhere between 4-6 months from now. I know it might be a more complicated process than most countries, but I would love if anyone has an insight!
