Need advice buying from kurokigoishiten
I have just two quick questions about kurokigoishiten that I would appreciate any help with, I will start with them then give an explanation after for anyone that cares.
TLDR:
What if any are the differences between Go 3-Piece Set and Manager's Recommended 3-Piece Go Set? They list the exact same items but the Go 3-Peice set with the cherry bowl is $417 on sale compared to $499 of the Manager's recommended. Is this just a upcharge for the recommended set?
What does 'screen-printed' mean for the go boards (example) and are the lines raised? I would imagine they are just painted on but the description seems to imply they use a similar lacquer so are they actually raised like the tachi-mori boards?
Ok now for an explanation for anyone that cares, I have been playing go on a nice set of slate and shell stones that a friend of mine bought long ago (the go stone company went out of business years ago) but I am moving away in a few months and am thus considering buying my own set. He has offered to gift me an old set of glass stones he has but I feel better about buying my own set which I can afford (at least nothing crazy, just a budget set).
My original plan was to wait till closer when I move to buy my set but it seems like kurokigoishiten is currently running a sale where the sets I am looking at are about 20% listed as 20% less than the normal listing price. So I am considering buying my set before July 20 when I think the sale ends, because this would probably let me get a set of size 34 instead of size 30 stones.
I will also preemptively apologize if these questions are obvious or if I missed a previous post here that answered these questions, this is my first time buying go related items. Also unsure If I should have tagged this with 'newbie question' flair, did not because I feel that is more about game advice than this.
