Talk me off the edge?

I recently developed tinitus on Sunday. I went to urgent care and the doctor stated I have an outer ear infection and prescribed me drops. The ringing in my ear has been constant since Sunday, but it seems that when I go to sleep it goes away and I don’t hear it when I wake up until I start moving. It fluctuates throughout the day. Has it went away for anybody? Everybody I read feels like everybody now permanently has it. Will the ear infection being treated help it go away? Just extremely tired of this already

Ringing in ear

Hi all. So last Wednesday I was pretty aggressive with a q tip in my ear (never again). It seemed to cause swelling and fullness in my ear and occasional ringing. It was slowly getting better each day. Yesterday I decided to use some debrox in my ear and it seems my ear doesn’t have that full feeling as much, but I have had the ringing in my ear for the last 14 hours. Was wondering any advice or if this is just a part of the healing? I have not been to the doctor as money is kinda tight, but if they make treatment for this I would go to the urgent care if people think it could be an ear infection or an ENT or it’s worse. If it is something that just goes away please let me know or any advice.
