My wife had her first ultrasound a few weeks ago and our doctor made us go to a specialist in the same hospital for it. She said it’s what they require for first-time ultrasounds but we won’t be billed for it as it’ll be covered under our insurance as a regular visit. Few weeks later we got a bill for $900 ($2k total but insurance covered the rest). My wife talked to the doctor at the next appointment and she had no idea that we would have to pay and that she would talk to her manager about it, but that was all she said. With this bill counting towards our deductible, is it worth fighting if we’re going to have the baby in a few months? If it’s worth it, would we even be able to win?
