C++ fake it til I make it?

I've just been offered a job, and I've accepted. It was through a referral, so the hiring process probably wasn't as rigorous as normal. The role requires python *and* c++. I have zero experience in c++ (I do have several years of professional dev experience in python but c++ just never came up in the interviews). How screwed am I? It starts in a month but I'm working my notice at my current role until then so I don't have loads of time to learn. How realistic would it be for me to hack things together with Claude for the first few months until I begin to understand how it works?
