Is this just me???

For some reason whenever I ask people if they can take a video while I'm fire flowing, they seem to turn into an experimental artistic videographer. People swipe in from the sky or the ground. They need to get some really bizarre angle or macro close-up. They need to do it in some weird filter or view through kaleidoscope glasses. This has probably happened with 15 separate people at this point. But if I give someone my camera and say "just make sure it's in vertical and I'm in the center" they seem to take a series of 7 second videos of my 5 minute set. It's like the second I light the fire, whoever is holding the camera thinks "You know what this needs? 🤔💭 To give the viewer motion sickness!!! 🤢Spinning something on fire is just not cool enough on its own" 😂🤣 I have only one friend (who coincidentally is another dragon staff spinner) and they are the only person who ever just points the camera at me in vertical, makes sure I am center frame, presses play when I light up and stops when the flame goes out. I feel like I have missed some of my best performances this way 😢. In every other aspect of life if I ask someone "hey, can you take a video?" They just take a normal video, but for some reason in the flow world, they think the video needs to be wild and crazy. Here is a compilation of what I'm talking about. This is only 2 minutes, but I have probably hours of clips that are the exact same kind of thing. Is this just me, or does this happen to other people too?

This post is a test

I've been having issues for two days uploading a video to here and I cannot figure out a reason why. It is below the size limit. It does not break any of the community rules. There should be absolutely no reason. So I am posting something random just to see if I can post anything at all

42° Flow to stay warm 😂

Flowing is certainly not the same with long sleeves. Warmth is almost here 💪🥰

I'm looking for where I can get rolls of Kevlar to replace 2-4 small sushi roll wicks. I can find industrial size rolls, or I can buy it one wick at a time for very expensive on a flow site. I don't normally have to re-wick things so I would rather not buy a large industrial roll.

Where do you all buy your Kevlar?

At the end of January, my local juggling club offered to share their space w/me so I could do flow arts over the winter. While I was there, I couldn't help it, I needed to learn how to juggle. I also invited my bestie/colleague (one with pony tail). So the 2 of us have spent one hour a week learning juggling w/a great group of people for the last 3 months. We even went to our first juggling fest a few weeks ago. One of the lovely people gave me my own set of clubs last night. I'm still saving up to buy a set of Henry loops. But now that I have my own set, I can juggle for more than an hour a week & make more progress. Last night, I was celebrating my three months of juggling by being a bit of a chaos monster 😂. We all had so many laughs. I'm so happy that I accidentally became a juggler this winter 😆🤹😊

This staff is one of the travel ones where the staff part can be broken down into 3 pieces and the hubs come off easily. My main problem with the staff is that it's just a bit too long for me. The quality of construction is fantastic and I am not saying anything bad about the staff, but I never play with it because it's the wrong size. Has anyone ever had to shorten one of these travel staves before?

I keep feeling like if I could just shave a few inches off either end, I would be more likely to actually use it. It was quite expensive so I don't want it to go to waste. It's carbon fiber
