Taking my golden out on a boat. Tips?
Hi all! I’m taking my 8 month old golden for a weekend out on the lake/boat. His name is Zero, and he is an absolute water baby. Loves swimming in pools, ponds, and puddles 😅.
I’m just looking for advice on what to bring/how to get him adjusted and comfortable etc. and of course safety as my top priority
Some things I’ve already gotten:
- Doggy sunscreen
- Little rubber boots so he won’t scratch the boat/more traction
- Life jacket
- A little inflatable dock meant for dogs to get on the boat easier
- Portable heavy duty fan and pop up shade tent to keep him cool.
Anything I’m missing or any tips for those of you that have taken your dogs out on a boat? We will be on a wakeboard boat. It’s a freshwater lake, so no concerns of jellyfish/sharks/any other predatory species!
