Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a bit of help.

I just rebuild my carb and installed fresh sparkplugs. It starts way better than before but i get a insanely high idle.

I have checked for intake leaks (with carbcleaner) but there's no change in RPM. Throttlecable is loose and the idle speed screw is not touching the throttle. When i hold my hand in front of the intake the idle speed drops to a normal level.

I'm wondering what it could be. Butterfly seems closed, no airleaks ( i think).

Could it be far to lean? I might have switched the sparkplug cables but as far as i know it doesn't matter on the 86-90 sportster.

Any help would be much appreciated.
