Hi all, 36yo male 75kg 5'9". Completely new to rowing but joined a gym on Friday and rowed 3 times already....first time in years I've genuinely enjoyed an exercise, I'm a runner by background.
I'm slow, my first row was a 22 minute 5km and I was blowing at the end so was a max effort.
My personality type means that now I've found a new "hobby", I want to throw absolutely everything at it and improve my times and fitness.
So my question to the group is...would you recommend spending the first few months doing mid-long "easy" rows to build up or jump straight in with a training plan?
Any other newbie/beginner advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
